Arsenal could hand Mohamed Elneny new deal after confirmed news - expert
Mohamed Elneny may have played his way into a new contract at Arsenal.
That is the view of former Gunners and Everton striker Kevin Campbell, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the 29-year-old’s future in north London.
Elneny has just two months remaining on his contract at the Emirates.
The centre-midfielder has struggled for game time under Mikel Arteta but has returned to the side in light of Thomas Partey’s injury.
Speaking to The Independent (24 April), the Egypt international revealed he would “love” to extend his stay at Arsenal even if he remains a bit-part player.
When asked for his thoughts on Elneny’s future, Campbell told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs:

“Any time he gets a call, he grafts hard and knows the position. He never lets anybody down.
“Elneny has been at the club a long time now so he should feel comfortable. It is his club. He should feel part of the furniture.
“He is waiting to see if the club will offer him something. Every team needs a player like Elneny. He works hard and does a job whenever called upon. He is not a moments problem either which is a plus. You can seen that he is a good pro.
“I’m sure Arteta will be thinking about keeping him. They have to keep some continuity within the squad.”
Elneny has impressed in wins over Chelsea, Man United and West Ham in recent weeks.
He has 13 appearances across all competitions this season.
