Arsenal could seal 'wonderful' Yeremy Pino signing after journalist's £38million update - expert

Kevin Campbell has heaped praise on Villarreal attacker Yeremy Pino amid interest from Arsenal.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Gunners and Everton striker, who has worked for La Liga TV in recent seasons, said the 19-year-old is “going to go on to be a really big star.”

Mikel Arteta and Edu are keen to add a versatile forward to their squad prior to the transfer window closing.

According to Goal‘s Ruben Uria (10 August), Arsenal are interested in signing Pino from Villarreal.

The La Liga club are said to be willing to consider offers of around £38million for the teenager despite the fact he has a £67million release clause.

Pino has five years remaining on his contract in Spain.

When asked by Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs if Pino would be a welcome addition at the Emirates, Campbell said: “Pino is a good player.

“A young player who is still developing. He is a full Spain international already. That tells you everything about it.

“Villarreal tend to develop talents and they have another gem in Pino. I think he is going to go on to be a really big star.

“I am not too sure if that will be at Arsenal but if he did come to us, his ceiling is very high.

“Maybe he does not have the numbers that others have, but he is a wonderfully gifted football who is only going to get better. It would not surprise me if Arsenal are interested.”
