Arsenal fans react on Twitter after Petr Cech and strikers axed for PSG clash
By Amir Mir
Arsenal fans on Twitter have slammed manager Arsene Wenger after he decided to rest Petr Cech in their Champions League opener against Paris Saint-Germain.
The Gunners No1 has dropped down to the bench and David Ospina has taken his place in the starting XI.
Wenger also rested Cech in their Champions League opener last season – a defeat to Olympiacos – which prompted a deluge of criticism from fans and pundits.
Supporters were once again enraged to see Ospina starting in goal as they questioned the manager’s judgement for such a tricky opening fixture.
One supporter asked why Wenger wants to rest his best players in the Champions League, as he also opted to start the game without a recognised striker.

Wenger has decided to play Alexis Sanchez in the spearhead role, with Olivier Giroud and Lucas Perez on the bench.
One fan pointed towards the club’s defeat to Olympiacos last season as a reason to play your best players as Wenger’s side aim for three points in Paris.
