Arsenal fans have taken to social media to praise Arsene Wenger’s decision to start Mesut Ozil against Huddersfield Town at the Emirates on Wednesday night.
The German international missed Arsenal’s last game against Burnley due to illness but is instantly back in the starting line-up and fully recovered.
The Gunners head into the mid-week clash with Huddersfield having won their last 11 games at the Emirates, including defeating bitter rivals Tottenham 2-0 earlier this month.
Arsenal now sit fourth in the Premier League, one place above their local rivals despite having played a game less more.
Huddersfield Town go into this game having won only one of their last four league games, but they did cause an upset in October when they defeated Manchester United 2-1.
Here are some of the best tweets from delighted Arsenal fans about Ozil being back in the starting XI:

This is the first time since 2011 that the two sides have met, with their last match being a fourth round FA Cup game the Emirates.
The Gunners won 2-1 on that day, but it’s worth nothing that Huddersfield Town were a League One team when that game was played.
The last time these two were in same league was the 1971/72 season, and Arsenal won both league encounters that season.
