Arsenal fans react to Calum Chambers display against Hull
By Matt Farr
A solid defensive display from Calum Chambers helped Middlesbrough to a 1-0 victory over Hull on Monday – and Arsenal fans were delighted.
Gunners fans were keen to check on the progress of the 21-year-old, who joined Middlesbrough on loan from Arsenal in the summer.
Chambers had struggled to break into Arsenal’s first-team squad, and Arsene Wenger saw fit to allow the England U21 international to leave the club for more regular action.
Gaston Ramirez – a former Saints team-mate of Chambers – gave Middlesbrough the lead with half-an-hour left on the clock, and his goal proved enough to defeat a Hull side that remain in the relegation zone.
The Uruguay midfielder was the stand-out performer for the home side, but Arsenal fans were thoroughly impressed by Chambers’ defensive display. It was Middlesbrough’s fourth clean sheet in the league this season.

Calum Chambers definitely has a future at Arsenal. He’s been playing well for Boro ever since he got in the team, hopefully he keeps it up.

The win sees Middlesbrough move up to 13th in the Premier League, four points clear of the relegation zone. They have now lost just once in their last six games.
Hull, meanwhile, missed an opportunity to push fellow-strugglers West Ham into the relegation zone, remaining their themselves for at least another week.
They can make amends when they host Crystal Palace at the KCOM Stadium on Saturday.
