Arsenal fans react on Twitter to Sanchez display against Manchester City
By Amir Mir
Alexis Sanchez provided an assist as Arsenal were beaten 2-1 at Manchester City on Sunday afternoon, but some fans on Twitter were so sick of the performance from their team they said he should leave if he wants to win trophies.
Arsene Wenger’s side took the lead in the first-half when Sanchez’ delightful reverse pass found Theo Walcott who slotted home.
The Gunners were energetic and pressed high during the early periods, but Pep Guardiola’s side changed the game after the break.
Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling completed a great fightback for the home side as their pace and direct play troubled the visitors.
Sanchez played the full match and despite being lively during the first period, he hardly got on the ball after the break as his team dropped a valuable three points in the Premier League title race.

Some supporters on Twitter were so upset with a second successive loss that they said Sanchez should leave the club, if he wants to fulfil his trophy ambitions.
However, most fans felt that despite a poor performance from their team, the Chilean was one of the standout players.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:
Sanchez and ozil better move on if they really want to win trophies. #afc

The simplicity of the movement for our 1st goal, Cech, Bellerin, Sanchez, Walcott was beautiful. Can we replicate that more often #AFC?

The Gunners drop down to fourth in the table on 34 points from 17 games, nine behind leaders Chelsea, but more worryingly only one point ahead of rivals Tottenham who are fifth.
Sanchez has played 24 Premier League and Champions League games for the Gunners this season, scoring 14 goals and providing 12 assists.
In other Arsenal news, Manchester City are plotting a £25 million for this Gunners player.
