Alexis Sanchez delivered a poor display in the forward position for Arsenal against Burnley on Sunday – and fans took to Twitter to point out what he was doing wrong.
The Chile international started the match up front on his own, with both Olivier Giroud and Lucas Perez missing the clash at Turf Moor due to injuries.
Arsene Wenger’s side claimed a last minute 1-0 victory with defender Laurent Koscielny providing his team with a victory in the dying seconds.
Sanchez played the full 90 minutes against the Lancashire side, but fans on social media commented that he wasn’t making the runs a forward should do.

Where teams don't commit and set up deep is where Sanchez up front doesn't work#AFC

Sanchez is more used to playing as an attacker in midfield, but Wenger has looked to convert him into a striker in the new campaign with Giroud’s inconsistent goal scoring form.
Following the move into a more advanced role the Chile international has scored five goals in nine appearances for the club in all competitions.
It has helped the Gunners to a good start in the new Premier League season and the north London club are now sat in third place, two points behind league leaders Manchester City.
