Arsenal fans rip into Harry Kane after his dreadful display in England humiliation
By Harvey Byrne
Harry Kane returns from the European Championships with the rest of the England squad after a humiliating 2-1 defeat against Iceland on Monday – and supporters of Tottenham’s rivals Arsenal have ripped into him on Twitter.
Kane went to the Euros on the back end of a fine season at Tottenham where he topped the Premier League scoring charts with 25 goals.
However the Spurs man endured a dreadful tournament as he failed to find the back of the net with ten shots , with four on target and six off target.
He epitomised England’s meltdown against Iceland with a wretched display full of awkward touches, mislaid passes and a complete absence of cutting edge.
There had been claims that the striker was tired after playing in the 2015 Under-21 European Championships and 50 games in all competitions for Spurs in the last year, but the former Millwall loanee denied these claims, as reported on Football Insider.

I'm biased as an Arsenal fan but he was the only one in the 2nd half playing dangerous balls forward. Kane and Sturridge MIA

Kane has starred for England in 16 encounters, scoring five goals and the 22-year-old will now be keen to put the Championships behind him and focus on the Russia 2018 World Cup qualification campaign where England will kick off against Slovakia on 4 September.
