'Is this some kind of joke' - Arsenal fans fume as club reportedly linked with Celtic boss

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers is being linked with the Arsenal managerial position should the role become available in the summer, according to a reliable journalist.
John Cross in the Mirror made the claim via his official Twitter feed that Rodgers, along with Joachim Loew, Mikel Arteta, and Leonardo Jardim will all be considered for the position following the Frenchman’s review at the end of the campaign.

But Arsenal supporters are not happy with the link to the Hoops manager who they feel is not good enough for their club.
One supporter said that if Arsenal appointed Rogers they might as well liquidate the club, but most expressed confusion as to why their club was being linked with a manager in the Scottish league.
The 45-year-old has been hugely successful during his time north of the border and it’s looking like it’s going to be another trophy-laden season this time.
But the Gunners faithful are perhaps thinking of the Northern Irishman’s tenure at Liverpool where he is mostly considered as a flop after the way his side fell apart in the hunt for the Premier League title.
Celtic supporters will know that while their boss continues to dominate the Scottish game, at some point he will want to seek new challenges, and should the hot-seat become available it would be difficult for him to turn down.
Here is a selection of Twitter responses from Arsenal fans who were by and large against the idea of the Bhoys manager taking on the role:
