Arsenal fans were furious with Gabriel Magalhaes after his involvement in Brighton’s equaliser during their 1-1 draw at the Emirates.

Mikel Arteta’s side dropped points for the first time in the Premier League this season despite taking the lead in the first half through Kai Havertz.

Joao Pedro scored a 58th-minute equaliser for the Seagulls, and Gunners fans felt that Gabriel could’ve done better with the situation.

The 26-year-old central defender had an opportunity to make a tackle after Lewis Dunk played a through ball into Arsenal’s box but ended up being pushed off the ball.

The Gunners were down to 10 men after Declan Rice received a controversial red card after appearing to kick the ball away to stop a quick free kick.

The draw continued both team’s undefeated starts to the 2024-25 Premier League campaign.

Arsenal fans felt Gabriel could have done better for Brighton's goal

Even though Pedro scored a rebound after a David Raya save, Arsenal fans felt Gabriel could’ve been stronger and stood his ground in the build-up to the goal.

Fans claimed the gap between him and William Saliba cost them the goal, while others stated he was being “stupid defensively.”
