Mesut Ozil did not take part in Arsenal’s final training session ahead of Sunday’s Premier League showdown against Manchester United, Football Insider sources understand.
The German playmaker was absent on Saturday as the Gunners squad were put through their paces at their London Colney training base.
Ozil, who has been affected by a foot problem in recent months, was rested from the session as a precaution.
But an Arsenal source has told Football Insider that Ozil is still in contention to feature at Old Trafford as Arsene Wenger’s team aim to keep the pressure on league leaders Leicester.

In other Arsenal team news, Gabriel took part in training on Saturday and is in contention to make the matchday squad.
Wenger’s main selection headache is likely to involve who should replace the injured Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who is facing a lengthy absence with a knee injury.
The Arsenal boss hinted on Friday that he will ease Danny Welbeck gradually into the team, which could mean a start for Theo Walcott.
