Kieran Maguire: Kroenke will accept 'irresistible' Arsenal takeover bid after Ek development
Stan Kroenke will sell Arsenal if he receives an “irresistible” takeover bid from Daniel Ek.
So says finance guru Kieran Maguire, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the latest in Ek’s plot to seize control at the Emirates.
Spotify mogul and Gunners fan Ek was pictured alongside Thiery Henry during last weekend’s 3-1 derby victory over Tottenham.
Henry has been enlisted by Ek as an ambassador for his prospective takeover of Arsenal, as have Patrick Viera and Dennis Bergkamp.
Speaking to Sky Sports on 28 September, Henry reiterated that the takeover posse was “here to stay” but that their advances had not been responded to.
Kroenke has previously stated that he has no intentions to walk away from Arsenal and rejected a £1.8billion offer back in May.

But Maguire, who is not a fan of the celebrity-led strategy, predicts that a huge offer from Ek will force him to reconsider.
“Money talks in business, and money talks to Stan Kroenke,” he told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams.
“If Daniel Ek comes up with an offer that is irresistible, Kroenke will accept. He is a businessman and understands value.
“What Ek has failed to do date is come up with something acceptable. If he does, I’m sure Kroenke will consider it.
“He has ambassadors like Henry and Bergkamp but he would be far better operating behind closed doors.
“What he’s doing now, it just seems like he’s trying to get celebrity endorsements.”
