Arsenal tipped to sign 'powerhouse' as Sanches reveals stance on move - pundit
Renato Sanches would be a “very good” signing for Arsenal, according to Kevin Campbell.
The former Gunners striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted the 24-year-old is a “midfield powerhouse”.
Speaking to L’Equipe (November 22nd), Sanches claimed he is “ready” for a move to a top European club – with Arsenal and Milan among the mooted destinations.
The midfielder has resurrected his career with French club Lille, where he won the Ligue 1 title last term.
Sanches is out of contract at the end of this season.
The Portugal international has registered seven league appearances this term despite suffering a meniscal injury in August.

Campbell suggested the 24-year-old would be an upgrade on Arsenal midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga.
“I think he would be very good if they can get him in,” he told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs.
“He’s suffered with injuries but he’s still young. He’s a powerhouse in that midfield – he can pick the ball up, run, he can shoot, he can create.
“Having that power in the midfield can make a huge difference. No disrespect to him but against Liverpool, for example, Sambi Lokonga was taken off by Arteta to save him. He was getting robbed time after time in that midfield.
“Maybe there needs to be a bit more experience in there, and Sanches would bring it.
“There’s a big opportunity for Arsenal – they’re still fifth in the table. They will be trying to improve the top end of the pitch and pushing for those top four places.”
Sanches was part of the Portugal side which won the European Championships in 2016.
The former Bayern Munich midfielder endured an indifferent loan spell with Premier League side Swansea during the 2017-18 season.
