Arsenal tipped to sign senior star in January after 'friend' of pundit's arrival
Paddy Kenny has tipped Arsenal to sign another senior goalkeeper if Bernd Leno is sold during the January transfer window.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Premier League shot-stopper insisted the Gunners would not want Aaron Ramsdale as the only experienced keeper heading into the second half of the season.
As reported by Eurosport (21st September), Arsenal will be open to offers for Leno, 29, in January.
The shot-stopper’s contract at the Emirates Stadium runs until 2023.
Arsenal spent a reported £24million to seal Ramsdale’s capture over the summer.
They will reportedly put Leno up for sale come the turn of the year.

Arthur Okonkwo, 20, and Karl Hein, 19, are currently the two keepers next in line at Arsenal.
However, Kenny suggested the Gunners would make a new signing if Leno is to go.
Asked if Leno will go in January, Kenny told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “Yeah, if they get somebody else as well.
“Ramsdale’s come in, played the two matches, done really well, got two wins. I’m delighted for him, because he’s a friend of mine, is Aaron.
“If Bernd Leno doesn’t want to sit on the bench, I’m sure they didn’t bring Ramsdale in to sit on the bench at £25million.
“I’m sure this was the plan all along, to move Leno on. They won’t just leave it at that.
“I’d be surprised if they leave Ramsdale as the only senior keeper without replacing Leno.”
Leno has played 120 times and kept 34 clean sheets during his time at Arsenal.
He started the Gunners’ opening three Premier League games of the season, conceding at least two goals in each.
