Arsenal tipped to sign 'two more' strikers after Eddie Nketiah offer update - expert
Arsenal will sign two strikers this summer even if Eddie Nketiah puts pen to paper on a new long-term contract.
That is the view of former Highbury favourite Kevin Campbell, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about Mikel Arteta’s striker plans for next season.
Nketiah’s contract at the Emirates expires at the end of next month.
According to the Daily Mail‘s Sami Mokbel (25 May), Arsenal have offered the striker a five-year deal worth in the region of £100,000-per-week with a £5million signing on bonus.
The Gunners have also been linked with moves for Man City’s Gabriel Jesus, AS Roma’s Tammy Abraham and Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin among others this month.
Campbell does not believe Nketiah will be a regular starter next season if he signs.

“I think they will sign two more on top of that,” he told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs.
“The way Arsenal will do it is by signing one striker and a forward who can play wide or central. Maybe Eddie, Jesus and another striker sign.
“I would like to see a taller striker come in. Somebody who has a bit of size and presence.
“It is their money, they will do what they feel is right. One thing I do know is that Nketiah is not being offered a new deal to be a regular starter next season.
“That is why I think two more could come in. He has not signed it yet though.”
