Arsenal told by expert to pay £40m for Gabriel Jesus after report - 'he knows'
Kevin Campbell has urged Arsenal to meet Man City’s £40million valuation of Gabriel Jesus this summer.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Gunners and Everton striker claimed the 25-year-old represents “great value for money” as he has “not peaked yet.”
Jesus is fast approaching the final 12 months of his contract at the Etihad.
According to the Express (2 May), Man City have slapped a £40million price tag on their Brazilian forward amid interest from Mikel Arteta’s side.
The Gunners are in the market for at least one centre-forward this summer with Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah at the end of their deals.
When asked by Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs for his thoughts on Jesus’ price tag, Campbell said: “That’s great value for money.

“I think Jesus would be a really good signing if Arsenal can get him.
“He has been on fire at City. He knows Arteta’s system and he knows what Arteta wants from his players.
“We are talking about a young Brazilian international who still hasn’t peaked yet. I still don’t think we’ve seen him at his best yet.
“He can play in multiple positions as well. That is always a plus. It means Arsenal could bring in another striker as well and play them together. He is threat out wide or down the middle. He is fit, strong and knows where the goal is.”
