Chris Willock capped off a memorable week by scoring the fourth goal in Arsenal Under-23s’ 4-0 win on Friday night against Sunderland, and Arsenal fans took to Twitter to celebrate.
18-year-old winger Willock has come through the youth ranks at Arsenal and has made his breakthrough into the first team this season, with two appearances off the bench in the EFL Cup.
Willock made his first-team debut when he came on for seven minutes in the 4-0 win against Nottingham Forest.
He featured for 18 minutes in the 2-0 win against Reading on Tuesday that took the team into the quarter-finals where they face Southampton at home.
Now he’s celebrating his first goal of the new season and fans have taken to Twitter to hail him as a star of the future.

Arsenal’s first team face Sunderland away at the Stadium of Light in the early Saturday kick-off as they look to move three points clear at the top of the table.
Willock will be hoping that an extended EFL Cup run could see him get more valuable time with Arsenal’s stars as he looks to cement his career in north London.
