Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya has had more success to celebrate following the end of the season.

Raya played an instrumental part in goal as Arsenal ended their 22-year wait to win the Premier League title.

The Spaniard also shone as the Gunners reached the Champions League final, although his save from Nuno Mendes in the shoot-out was not enough to stop PSG from winning the trophy.

Having joined from Brentford in 2023 to provide competition to Aaron Ramsdale, Raya has nailed down his position as Mikel Arteta’s number one goalkeeper.

The 30-year-old, whose contract does not expire until 2028, is expected to remain at Arsenal as they look to strengthen their squad further this summer.

David Raya hailed as ‘elite’ after winning award

Having kept 19 Premier League clean sheets on Arsenal’s way to the title, Raya has now won the Golden Glove award for the past three seasons.

Taking to Instagram, David Raya shared a picture with his last three Premier League Golden Gloves.

Raya captioned the post: “Ending the season with my third consecutive Premier League Golden Glove makes it even more special.

"Thank you to all my teammates and the goalkeeping staff for being part of this achievement. See you next season, Gunners."

Teammates Declan Rice, Gabriel Magalhaes and Viktor Gyokeres were among those to like the post.

Former Brentford teammate Ivan Toney, who now plays in Saudi Arabia for Al-Ahli, reacted with a raising hands emoji, whilst Fulham captain Tom Cairney called Raya “elite.”

Premier League rival keen to sign Gabriel Jesus

Arteta is expected to sell a couple of first team stars this summer in order to keep the club within financial rules.

Striker Gabriel Jesus’ future has been uncertain since the arrival of Gyokeres last summer, which added more competition up-front for the 29-year-old.

Everton have just learned what it will take to sign Gabriel Jesus from Arsenal

Sources have told Football Insider that Everton are planning a move for Jesus, but they are put off by Arsenal’s £20million asking price.

The Brazilian only started three Premier League matches this season, and his time in north London has been disrupted by injuries.

Jesus’ wages could also be a stumbling block, but he is expected to have other options to leave Arsenal this summer from the likes of AC Milan, Juventus and Palmeiras.
