Martin Odegaard has told Arsenal to sign Norwegian sensation who's 'going to be a top player'
Arsenal are certainly among the clubs looking at a move for Antonio Nusa ahead of upcoming transfer windows.
That is according to experienced former Tottenham, Everton and Aston Villa scout and legendary Scandinavian talent spotter, Bryan King, speaking exclusively to Football Insider.
The 21-year-old has been a target for the Gunners before, and would provide much-needed support on the left of Mikel Arteta's attack.
Nusa was tipped to leave RB Leipzig in the summer but a move ultimately failed to materialise, despite his positive World Cup campaign with Norway.
But with the winger having enjoyed a strong start to the season, too, with three goals and two assists in just six games, a move may well on the cards within the next year.
Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard is also Nusa's captain for Norway, and could well play a major part in any potential move made.
Antonio Nusa 'would be a good signing for anybody'
Nusa's career began at Stabaek, but he first caught the eye of the Premier League while in Belgium with Club Brugge.
The winger would almost sign for both Brentford and Tottenham before medical issues ruled the moves out, before he signed for Leipzig instead.
Two years on, Nusa now looks to be back in the sights of Premier League sides.
"I like him. I saw him first when he was at Stabaek - he was mentioned to several Premier League clubs and several Championship clubs, actually," King told Football Insider.
"Then, of course, he left Stabaek and started his career, Leipzig, where he became and has become a very talented footballer. He's only 21. He's going to be a top footballer. As a wide player, he's exciting to watch."
Asked about the interest of Arsenal, King added: " Well, he knows the captain well, doesn't he?
"I would imagine if the management team has spoken, as they usually do, they usually include the captain in certain things when they're reviewing things.
"I would imagine that Odegaard has mentioned Nusa because there are clubs who are looking at him, that is for sure. He would be a good signing for anybody. I like him, he's got a good attitude.
"He looks after himself. For me, he's a player that can take the Premier League step."
Nusa drops Arsenal hint
Taking part in a social media challenge this week, Nusa appeared to drop a hint about his potential future destination.
Leipzig teammate Castello Lukeba and Nusa were asked to name the same club at the same time, but while the Frenchman said Leipzig, Nusa said Arsenal.
Asked why, the winger went to explain but stumbled on his words and began to laugh as his teammate pushed him for his answer.
Nusa has previously admitted to supporting the Gunners as a youngster, and appears to still hold some affection towards the Premier League champions.
