Sources: Kenan Yildiz to Arsenal update

Arsenal will find it "difficult" to strike a deal for Juventus winger Kenan Yildiz before the upcoming deadline, sources have told Football Insider.

The Gunners are long-term admirers of the Turkish star, but are already being met by strong resistance from the Italian giants.

Manager Luciano Spalletti made it clear after his team's opening Serie A game that he has no desire to lose Yildiz, and that stance is already shared by the club hierarchy.

Juventus are understood to be "doing everything they can" to keep hold of the 21-year-old, and sources say they would only consider selling him if a truly "crazy offer" came in.

Arsenal have had the wideman high on their list of targets in recent months, but are highly likely to be thwarted by Juventus.

Yildiz notched 24 goal involvements in all competitions last term, and has already established himself as one of Italian football's biggest stars.

Juventus value Yildiz extremely highly as part of their long-term project, and recently moved to protect his future in Turin even more.

They handed him a bumper new four-year contract at the start of June, which has tied him down until 2030 and upped his wages significantly.

That additional security has handed the Old Lady the chance to demand a truly eye-watering fee for any interested parties.

Recent reports have suggested that Arsenal would need to table at least £60million to make Juventus entertain a sale, but it is understood that the true valuation of their star is far beyond that figure.

With that in mind, there is little chance of Mikel Arteta's side being able to prise him away in the final week of the window, with Juventus having little time to secure a replacement.

Yildiz is undoubtedly admired at the Emirates Stadium, but this is set to be another transfer window where his signature ultimately eludes them.

Myles Lewis-Skelly's transfer plan revealed

Former Everton chief executive Keith Wyness told Football Insider on Monday that there is very little chance of Myles Lewis-Skelly actually leaving Arsenal in the remainder of the window.

The former boardroom man believes that the recent interest from across the Premier League is likely to have come from the starlet's agent, in a bid to ensure that he isn't forgotten about in North London.

Wyness feels that Lewis-Skelly's camp are trying to ensure that his minutes are protected at his boyhood club, and feels that a move way would be a last resort.

He also outlined that he certainly does not expect anything to come to fruition this week, despite interest from Manchester United and Chelsea.
