Rangers great Arthur Numan has been speaking very highly of his fellow country man Frank de Boer and has shared he feels he would succeed at Ibrox.
The 46-year-old manager is currently without a job after losing his job at Italian giants Inter Milan in November following a poor run of form.
He told Sky Sports that he “would listen” if asked to make a sensational return to Rangers, but he has also shared that he will wait until the summer before making a decision.
Now, Numan has shared how highly he rates De Boer and has even made the early prediction that he will be a success on his Glasgow return.
“He had incredible success at Ajax, playing some terrific football, and is one of the most exciting young coaches around at the moment,” told Numan to the Scottish Sun.
“I’m sure he will be successful again, whether it’s with Rangers or another club.
“Frank has made it clear he will wait until the end of the season before making a decision, so if Rangers want to sign him they will have to wait until June.”
Rangers are currently sat in third place in the Premiership table and they have failed to win a match since Mark Warburton’s departure earlier in the month.
Graeme Murty is currently in temporary charge of the club, but he has shared that he will not be applying for the position full time.
It is believed that fans would certainly be delighted by the appointment of De Boer, but his reputation and wage demands may prove too much for the Scottish giants.
