Sources: Norwich City and West Brom plot moves for Aston Villa sensation Lamare Bogarde
Norwich City and West Brom are chasing Aston Villa rising star Lamare Bogarde ahead of the January window, sources have told Football Insider.
The Championship duo are targeting the defender, 18, for a loan deal for the second half of the campaign.
Bogarde played under Dean Smith when he was in charge of Villa and this could give Norwich the advantage in the winter window.
Villa have yet to decide whether to loan out the Netherlands Under-18 international with Unai Emery running the rule over him this week.
Bogarde is currently away with Villa’s first-team squad at their warm weather training camp in Dubai.
He is a highly regarded product of the lavishly funded Villa academy which has started to produce players for the senior side.

The young Dutchman joined Villa from the Feyenoord youth set-up in the summer of 2020 and has progressed through the ranks during his time in England.
He made his senior debut – and only first-team appearance to date – when the club fielded their youngest-ever senior team for the League Cup clash against Liverpool in January 2021.
Bogarde signed his first professional contract four days later and has continued to make steady progress.
He has yet to add to that solitary first-team appearance, but has made the bench for three Villa Premier League matches this season – against Leeds, Nottingham Forest and Chelsea.
