Aston Villa could make two changes for their Championship clash against Derby County on Saturday afternoon.
Steve Bruce’s side fell to yet another defeat during their last match when league leaders Newcastle inflicted a 2-0 defeat on their rivals.
Now, the injured Scott Hogan and Alan Hutton could be axed for the weekend fixture as the senior duo could make way for Albert Adomah and James Bree.
Bruce could field a 4-2-3-1 formation against their promotion-chasing opponents as the Villa senior figure aims to add consistency to his team.
Right-back Bree might return from injury which could see him replace the experienced Hutton in defence.
Other than that, Bruce could stick with the likes of James Chester, Tommy Elphick and Neil Taylor in defence as Villa aim to secure their first clean sheet since December.
On the flanks, the trickery and at times inconsistent Adomah may make a return to the starting XI replacing striker Hogan who suffered a serious looking injury during the last game.
It means, the versatile Birkir Bjarnason could revert to the left flank, having previously played on the right against the Magpies on Monday night.
Furthermore, the midfield trio of Mile Jedinak, Henri Lansbury and Conor Hourihane could start their second consecutive game together as Bruce hopes they can add some consistency to their game.
Finally, striker Jonathan Kodjia could be tasked to lead the line as the supporters will be hopeful he is fit and ready for the weekend encounter after going off injured on Monday night.
In other Aston Villa news, Steve Bruce should show some bottle and drop this senior man.
