Aston Villa fans deliver verdict on Steve Bruce's future after Ipswich defeat
By Amir Mir
Aston Villa were beaten 1-0 by Ipswich on Saturday afternoon – and fans on Twitter have called for manager Steve Bruce’s head.
Emyr Huws scored a late goal for the away side when he pounced on a mistake from defender Tommy Elphick.
It was the third time in consecutive games that Villa have lost and the first time they have suffered a home defeat this term.
The Midlands club are languishing in the bottom half of the table on 36 points from their 30 games, seven points off the drop zone.
Fans on Twitter wanted to see the back of Bruce who was appointed as manager in mid-October after replacing the sacked Roberto Di Matteo.

One supporter stated that time was ticking for Bruce, while another believes that the Tuesday clash against Bristol City will be a big game for the club.
Another fan slammed the former centre-back’s tactics by stating that it took him until the dying minutes to realise the 3-5-2 formation he was playing was not working.
While another supporter questioned how long does the former Premier League boss deserve in the Villa hot seat.
Overall, the Villa faithful were pretty annoyed with Bruce and their recent results which have seen them crash further down the table.

Bruce is more qualified than anyone to get a club promoted. The "SQUAD" are playing poorly. Anyone suggesting he should go is a fool #AVFC

Football is a results business & Bruce isn't getting the results im afraid. #avfc

Bruce has got to go. He has not put a side out that has dominated a game and freely scored goals. He ain't got a clue what to do #AVFC

Sorry but manager to blame. 5 at the back and it takes Bruce til 89th minute to change the system. What a joke. #avfc
