Aston Villa fans are raging at Jhon Duran after the striker spoke out about his desire to leave the club amid interest from elsewhere.

The striker spoke to ESPN Deportes where he insisted: "I'm happy there are these rumours and let's hope that something concrete happens."

This is not the first time Duran and his agents have been vocal about the possibility of a move this summer, with fans becoming sick of his attitude.

Football Insider revealed on 19 July that West Ham are working on a deal to sign the Colombian after he became frustrated with his playing time at Villa Park.

Chelsea were also heavily linked with a move this summer, but their interest has cooled in recent weeks as they look at other targets.

Duran featured 37 times for Villa last season, although he started just ten games, scoring eight goals as he failed to compete with Ollie Watkins.

With clubs tracking his progress and looking to sign him this summer, the forward wants to leave Unai Emery's team in search of regular football.

However, fans are less than impressed with how he has gone about leaving, as they have labelled him "unprofessional", "disrespectful" and a "clown".
