'Non existent', 'Shocker' - Aston Villa fans fume after display of one man in loss v Bolton

Aston Villa fell to their second defeat in the space of a week with a 1-0 defeat on the road on Saturday night in the Championship against Bolton Wanderers – and fans are not happy with Albert Adomah.

The loss left the Villa Park faithful’s hopes of automatic promotion hanging in the balance with Cardiff City now seven points ahead with an opportunity to go ten ahead on Sunday.

After losing 3-1 at Villa Park to QPR last time out, the Villans would have been eager to see a return to winning ways against the Lancashire outfit in testing conditions at the Macron Stadium.

But after Adam Le Fondre gave the Whites the lead in the first half, the Birmingham club never really looked like getting back into the game.

Villa searched for a response and nearly found one late in the half through Lewis Grabban, but the forward could only fire high and wide after Jack Grealish found him in the box.

And despite the effort that was clearly there, the quality was lacking on a night where Bolton defended with aplomb.

Fans were unhappy with the performance of Albert Adomah, who despite having a successful season for the Claret and Blues, made little impact on the game and was hugely disappointing on Saturday evening.

Here is what supporters had to say on Twitter in reaction to Adomah’s display against the Whites:
