Aston Villa fans react to devastating injury blow after Burton match
By Amir Mir
Jonatan Kodjia went off injured for Aston Villa during their 1-1 draw against Burton – and fans on Twitter are devasted with the news.
The 27-year-old had opened the scoring for the away team when he scored within three minutes at the Pirelli Stadium.
Villa looked fairly comfortable for the opening exchanges of the game but were dealt a massive blow after 36 minutes when Kodjia was forced off injured.
Thereafter, Steve Bruce’s side conceded a second-half equaliser when Lloyd Dyer fired into the roof of the net after a free-kick.
Understandably, the Villa Park faithful were not too pleased to find out that Kodjia has potentially picked up a knock leading up to some crucial fixtures for the Midlands outfit.

Villa take on second city rivals Birmingham City on home soil on April 23 as bragging rights will be up for grabs in what will be a tense fixture.
As expected, supporters on Twitter were asking what type of injury Kodjia has suffered and how long could he potentially be out for.
However, a number of fans did also point out that the club has a viable backup in January recruit Scott Hogan.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Praying it was just pro cautionary bringing Kodjia off. Was so close to the Withe record, at least we have a decent back up in Hogan #avfc

#avfc as much as I don't like kodjia going off injured Hogan isn't a bad replacement at all.

Kodjia has played 37 Championship games for Villa since his big-money move from Bristol City in the summer.
He has proved his worth by being the club’s highest goalscorer this season and finding the back of the net on 19 occasions.
