'I thought I was at Madame Tussauds' - Aston Villa fans destroy midfielder after display v QPR
By Richard Parks
Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to destroy Jack Grealish for his performance in their side’s 3-1 Championship defeat to QPR on Tuesday night.
The Villa academy product played the full 90 minutes of the clash at Villa Park but failed to make an impact as his side fell to a shock defeat against the mid-table visitors.
Jake Bidwell crossed for Ryan Manning to head an early opener before the QPR left-back himself scored with a low left-foot shot for a 2-0 half-time lead at Villa Park.
Substitute Luke Freeman turned to drill home an 82nd-minute third and James Chester’s third goal in as many games was only a consolation for Villa.
Villa fans have raved about midfielder Grealish this season but were unimpressed with his performance on a night in which their automatic promotion hopes were dented.

Fatigue, even Grealish looked like he was blowing out his arse

He was a statue in the middle of the pitch first half… couldn’t believe he then got stuck on the left…. Albert and grealish then were too deep….. what a bloody mess!!!!!

Dreadful performance. I thought I was at Madame Tussauds. Grealish and Snodgrass not great tonight. Chester looked good in defence. Not Villa’s night. #avfc

I’d have had Adomah and Snodgrass switch wings. Too predictable cutting inside on to there stronger foot. Absolutely nothing coming through the middle either. Grealish playing too deep 2nd half. Plan B? We don’t have one. ????

We struggle when Grealish isn’t quite at it

Jack Grealish missed an absolute sitter. #avfc

Villa’s first home defeat in four months leaves them seven points behind second-placed Cardiff and 10 points adrift of leaders Wolves, both of whom won on Tuesday.
An impressive QPR performance was their third win in the Midlands this season and lifts Ian Holloway’s side one place to 15th.
In other Aston Villa news, it has been revealed that a Villa striker has cancelled his accommodation and walked out on Championship club.
