Aston Villa winger Andre Green will be out for at least a month with a hamstring injury – and fans on Twitter are devastated.
The 18-year-old had to be withdrawn during Aston Villa’s 2-0 win over Bristol City on Tuesday night, and Steve Bruce has confirmed that he will be out of action for at least a month.
Green has become a big hit with the fans this season, having established himself as an important member of the first-team squad since making his debut at the end of last season.
After hearing the news, supporters on Twitter were understandably devastated at the loss of one of their favourite first-team stars.

Andre Green out for a month-plus (hamstring) is poor luck indeed. Big shame, as it was the perfect time for him to play and develop. #avfc

Green has made 15 senior appearances for the club this term, including back-to-back starts in their last two Championship outings.
His eye-catching displays have been keeping another of the club’s highly-rated youngsters out of the starting XI, Jack Grealish.
Sadly, the winger becomes the latest Villa attacker forced out for a long spell after January striker signing Scott Hogan suffered an ankle injury that will keep him out for another five weeks.
Bruce is already without a number of other first-team stars with injury, including Gary Gardner and Rushian Hepburn-Murphy (both ankle), as well as Gabriel Agbonlahor (hamstring).
Meanwhile, Leandro Bacuna is set to miss the next six games with suspension after headbutting a linesman in the Championship win over Bristol City on Tuesday.
In other Aston Villa team news, fans have reacted on Twitter as Bacuna’s punishment for his dismissal against Bristol City has been revealed.
