Aston Villa fans are unsure on Twitter after learning that Wolfsburg youngster Anton Donker was the subject of interest from Steve Bruce’s side.
German newspaper Bild claim that the Midlands giants are keen on the 19-year-old winger, as they look to add width to their side in a bid to reach the Championship playoffs come May.
The highly-rated Germany Under-20s international is yet to make a senior appearance for the Bundesliga giants, but is a regular in their reserve side that play in the fourth tier of German football.
With Albert Adomah the only recognised winger available to manager Steve Bruce, Donkor could be brought in to provide cover for the Ghana international.
Aston Villa fans are undecided on Twitter, with many labelling Donkor as an unknown while some believe he could mirror Adama Traore who left to join Middlesbrough in the summer.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Pretty sure I read before that Donkor was the fastest player in Wolfsburg's academy, Adama Mark II. #AVFC

of he is good enough play Amavi LB and Donkor LW. Just a pointless signing if he just sits on the bench.

Guessing Donkor is just a back up left back

With a contract until the summer of 2020, it remains to be seen how much the Midlands outfit will have to spend to bring Wolfsburg’s academy product to Villa Park.
Bruce will need to move quickly if he is to sign Donkor, with just two weeks left in the January transfer window.
In other Aston Villa transfer news, this 26-year-old midfielder towers over Villa’s other midfield targets.
