Aston Villa take on Barnsley in a Championship clash on Tuesday night – and fans on Twitter want Albert Adomah to start the game.

Steve Bruce’s side have lost their last three matches with Adomah only playing 29 minutes of football during the last two games.

The 29-year-old winger has been one of Villa’s most creative players this term, despite his team’s lack of goals and form.

Now, supporters have urged Bruce to start Adomah for the midweek encounter against the Yorkshire club at Villa Park.

One fan stated that Bruce should try playing Scott Hogan up front on his own with Jonathan Kodjia on the left and Adomah attacking from the right.

While another supporter also wants the Ghana international to start but believes the five at the back Bruce has been trying in recent weeks has not been working.

Furthermore, one fan was critical of January signing Birkir Bjarnason by saying the Icelandic international is off the pace and believes Adomah is more likely to make something happen.

Overall, the Villa Park faithful were in agreement that they would like to see their manager select Adomah for the midweek game.

Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Adomah has played 23 Championship games for Villa this season, scoring three goals and supplying five assists.

He has started just one game for Bruce since scoring a brace against Preston on home soil in January.
