Aston Villa take on Barnsley in a Championship clash on Tuesday night – and fans on Twitter want Alan Hutton and Tommy Elphick dropped for that match.
The senior duo started the club’s 1-0 home defeat against Ipswich at the weekend as they produced poor displays during that game.
Now, supporters want the defensive duo to be axed for that encounter as Steve Bruce’s side aim to stop their recent slump.
Villa have lost their last three matches, conceding six goals and scoring only once against Brentford, Nottingham Forest and Ipswich.
Furthermore, they have failed to pick up three points in 2017, recording only one draw against Preston in January at Villa Park.

One fan stated that he doesn’t want to see right-back Hutton in the team again this season, while another supporter asked how centre-back Elphick manages to get a game.
Another supporter wants Hutton and Elphick binned as he urged the manager to pick the youngsters with the club’s playoff chances now appearing to go up in smoke.
The Midlands club are 16 points adrift of the top six despite having serious ambitions of earning instant promotion back to the Premier League at the start of the campaign.
Nonetheless, there were a number of fans who felt that Hutton and Elphick should not be part of their plans as some felt Hutton should never play again and Elphick has had his chances.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:
Don't want to see Hutton or Elphick for the rest of the season , send Johnstone back to Mancs and play Bunn or Sarkic. Develop our own #AVFC

3-4-1-2 is the way I'd go and genuinely never play Hutton again in a 3-4-1-2 there are at least 3 ahead of him. #AVFC (4/many)

couldn't agree more at least put them on the bench what the point of bunn Hutton anyway? #avfc

Victor Moses showing exactly why you need an attack minded player at wingback. Hutton is a full back, not a wingback. Bacuna or Bree. #avfc
