Aston Villa have joined the hunt to sign Kilmarnock attacker Jordan Jones in the summer, according to a report.
The Daily Mail claims that Premier League club Brighton are also interested in Jones, 23, after watching him play in an international friendly for Northern Ireland against South Korea last week.
It is understood that the wide-forward impressed enough for Villa and Brighton to add him to their list of potential transfer targets for the summer with him due to enter the final year of his Kilmarnock contract at the end of the campaign.
Jones is said to have already turned down one offer of a new deal and has also been the subject of bids from Rangers.
Bristol City are also said to have enquired about the former Middlesbrough attacker, who has scored four goals and supplied seven assists in 36 appearances across all competitions for Scottish Premiership club Kilmarnock this term.
Steve Clarke has led Kille up to fifth place in the Scottish top-flight since taking charge at Rugby Park and is currently getting the best out of Aaron Tshibola, who is on loan from Villa.
Football Insider verdict
Jones is likely to be in demand in the summer with his contract a year away from expiring and the likelihood that Kilmarnock will not want to wait around and let him go for free. The 23-year-old has had a brilliant season and he has deserved a move to a bigger club. Rangers probably will not return for the attacker with their wide positions well stocked so it could be a straight shoot-out between Villa, Brighton and Bristol City. It may all depend on how much football that Jones can be guaranteed though as he would surely be much better suited to a Championship side.
