Aston Villa: Man City plan to accept £60m offer for Omar Marmoush
Aston Villa will have to offer Manchester City in excess of £59million to land Omar Marmoush on a permanent deal this summer.
Marmoush remains a transfer target for the Villans after they were linked with a move for his services throughout the January window.
The Egypt star has struggled for consistent minutes at Man City this season and could push for a move away in the summer.
City are not planning to sell him, and so will need to be offered close to the £59m they spent on Marmoush last year to let him go this summer, as I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Transfer Insider podcast.
It is unclear how high he is on Villa’s transfer shortlist as the transfer window nears, but they are in clear need of attacking additions as they prepare to return to the Champions League.

Sources have told Football Insider that City don’t want to sell Marmoush this summer, but he could force an exit after struggling for game time in recent months.
Villa remain keen on a move, but his services will not come cheap, given the Citizens’ reluctance to part ways and the previous fee splashed out for his signature.

Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: “City did spend big money on Marmoush when they signed him from Frankfurt, so they’ll be looking to recoup most of that.
“I think a lot of this will come down to the player’s own plans to be playing regularly, and he might have to push for a move away.”
Villa interested in signing Rangers starlet Bailey Rice
Unai Emery will be looking to strengthen his squad in several areas this summer if Villa do seal a return to the Champions League this month.
Sources have exclusively revealed to Football Insider that Rangers youngster Rice is on Villa’s radar as a potential capture for a compensation fee.
The 19-year-old is highly rated throughout Scottish football, but has struggled with injuries this season and looks set to leave the Gers when his contract expires at the end of May.
Villa are keen on signing him, but face stern competition from the likes of Ajax, Schalke and Nottingham Forest.
