Aston Villa: Morgan Rogers deal to cost £120m+ as wage demands revealed
Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers would cost any interested parties more than £120million if they want to sign him this summer.
That is according to former Manchester City financial adviser Stefan Borson, who exclusively told Football Insider the England international would be looking for around £400,000 a week in wages to leave Villa Park.
Rogers has played an integral role for Unai Emery’s side since joining in a deal worth up to £16m from Middlesbrough in February 2024.
The 23-year-old has registered 12 goals and nine assists in 48 appearances this season, helping the West Midlands giants compete for a Champions League place and progress through to the Europa League semi-finals.
However, Villa could cash in on Rogers if a big-money offer is made for his services this summer.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Borson discussed how much Rogers could be worth this summer.
“It’s one of these classic cases where Villa set the price,” said Borson.
“If they don’t need to sell him, they can say, ‘Well, that’s the price. If you don’t meet it, then he’s staying’. That’s fine, aside from two things. One, if the player is happy to go down that route and is prepared to stay, then great.
“But if the player wants to leave or Villa need to sell to generate profits for the next phase of their development for the rest of the team, they are looking like they’re going to be in the Champions League next season, then what price can be achieved in the market?”
How much extra Rogers would cost after £100m transfer fee
Borson revealed how much it could cost clubs to sign Rogers on top of his transfer fee.
“I just don’t see Chelsea being able to buy the player for let’s say £100m plus his wages,” said Borson.
“That’s going to be let’s say £23m with all the costs in there of amortisation in the SCR calculation plus his wages of another £20m.
“People say he’s not going to be on £400k a week. All in, he’ll be on somewhere in that order, so it’s very hard to see Chelsea doing it.”
