Aston Villa should sign Max Gradel on loan until the end of the season.
The midfielder has been out-of-favour under Eddie Howe at Bournemouth this season but he could offer something for Aston Villa if they sign him on a six-month deal.
Gradel can play on the left or right wing and he could provide valuable squad depth for Villa who have relied largely on Jonathan Kodjia to produce the goods in attack.
The 29-year-old likes to take on defenders and cut inside from the wings but he is also a good crosser and has the potential to provide some great service for Villa’s star striker.
He is experienced and confident and would be willing to take some of the responsibility which has been put on Kodjia’s shoulders this season.
The Ivorian has made just five substitute appearances in the Premier League this season, with his only starts for Bournemouth coming in the EFL Cup clashes against Preston and Morecambe.
The majority of his appearances came at the start of the season, with his most recent appearance coming in the 0-0 draw against Tottenham in October, so he will be eager to gain regular first team action elsewhere.
He may not have lit up the stage in the top flight this season but he was impressive in his last spell in the lower leagues, notching up 77 appearances and scoring 25 goals for Leeds between 2009 and 2011.
Villa fans should be hoping that he’s willing to drop down again and prove he’s still got what it takes in the Championship.
In other Aston Villa news, the club have joined the race for this midfielder.
