Report: Aston Villa star injured on international duty, doubt for Wolves clash

Jordan Ayew is a doubt for Aston Villa’s clash against Wolves on Saturday after picking up an injury while on international duty, according to a report.
The Birmingham Mail state that the 25-year-old Ghana international picked up an unspecified injury and has returned to the club’s training ground Bodymoor Heath for treatment.
The versatile attacker is now a doubt for the Midlands clash against Wolves on Saturday at Villa Park.
It is said Ayew is believed to have picked up the injury in the World Cup qualifier against Uganda and will now miss Ghana’s friendly in South Africa on Tuesday.

Some players including Jonathan Mensah, Jordan Ayew and Afriyie Acquah could not travel with the team due to injuries.

Ayew has been ever-present for the Villa Park club, playing in all 12 games this season and scoring two goals supplemented by three assists.
The claret & blue side are languishing in 19th place in the Championship, with ten points from 11 games, as they search for their fourth manager in 12 months.
Villa take on Walter Zenga’s Wolves at the weekend, with caretaker boss Steve Clarke in charge following the sacking of Roberto Di Matteo last Monday.
