Alejandro Garnacho loan fee revealed at Aston Villa: 'This deal's a no-brainer'
Aston Villa's move for Chelsea winger Alejandro Garnacho on loan is a "no-brainer" ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.
That is according to former Manchester City financial adviser Stefan Borson, who exclusively told Football Insider that Villa will likely pay the player's wages in full to the Blues.
Garnacho lasted just one full season at Stamford Bridge before falling out of favour, notching eight goals and four assists in 43 appearances.
His time at Manchester United also came to a sour end, being excised from the squad by Ruben Amorim after lashing out at his tactics in the dugout.
There is now hope that the Argentine can rediscover the previous form that he had at Old Trafford, joining the Villans on loan for next season.
Some have raised questions over how the deal avoids UEFA's 45-day player trading rules, with Morgan Rogers going the other way for £117million, but Borson insists it's all above board.

Speaking to Football Insider, Borson estimated that Villa are likely to pay in the region of £5m to have Garnacho in the squad, with no guarantee that he signs permanently.
"I think the surprise will be if it happens. At the moment it's not happened; it's it's a loan. Villa have done lots of these deals," he said.
"They will only buy him if they think they're getting good value at the pre-agreed price. I would describe it as a one way option for Aston Villa.
"They pay a relatively small option price, around £5million. I think that's probably what they'll have to pay. They'll pay his wages in whole or in part.
"But I would think probably whole. And they get to see him live and they get to test him out, they get to play him in X number of games before there's an obligation.
"If he gets injured, they don't need to sign him, or if he doesn't play or he plays poorly, or he's a bad influence. It's a bit of a no-brainer really, given that he's a player that they genuinely rated a year ago."
How could Unai Emery's XI line up next season?
There are some rather big changes at Villa Park this summer, and understandably, supporters are worried about the season ahead.
Garnacho is likely to be joined by Ollie Watkins, if he stays, Emi Buendia and John McGinn in the final third, with a strong midfield behind.
Once Boubacar Kamara returns from injury, the Frenchman could be joined by Johan Manzambi or Joao Gomes, with Amadou Onana sidelined for quite some time.
The goalkeeper situation is slightly more concerning. Emi Martinez will need replacing if he leaves, supporting a back line of Matty Cash, Ezri Konsa, Pau Torres and Ian Maatsen.
