Aston Villa have hit the jackpot with Johan Manzambi, he's worth £100m already
Aston Villa's new midfielder Johan Manzambi is surely set to earn them an eye-watering amount of money in future years.
The 21-year-old dazzled at the World Cup for Switzerland, and has since taken to the Premier League like a duck to water.
Manzambi netted the winner for the Villa in their 1-0 win away at Newcastle on Saturday, as he continued his fine run of form in the Premier League.
The 21-year-old arrived at Villa Park carrying an injury after his World Cup exploits, but has quickly become one of the first names on the teamsheet for Unai Emery across the last four games.
Manzambi briefly became Villa's record signing when they landed him for around £50million in the summer, and that already appears to be a bargain price for him.
If he continues in the same vein as his current form, then he is surely a player who could command a £100m-plus fee in the very near future. Indeed, he could already have hit the nine-figure mark in just a few months at the club.
Johan Manzambi bound to generate interest
Premier League fans have become accustomed to seeing some of the Bundesliga's leading talents struggle after making the move to England, but there have been no such signs from Manzambi so far.
The attacking midfielder has been electric since he earned his first start in the win away at Tottenham on 19 September, and now has three goals and two assists in his last four games.
Manzambi possesses all the tools to become an elite attacking midfielder in future, and also has the level of pace and physicality that still prevent Premier League defences from marking him out of games.
Villa appear to have hit the jackpot by signing the former Freiburg man, as he is arguably already their best player after just four starts.
If Manzambi can continue this form throughout the campaign, then interest from elite-level clubs is bound to be just around the corner.
With Villa having already shelled out around £50m to bring him in, the idea of doubling their money and holding out for £100m is not at all far-fetched.
Aston Villa to sell summer signing for 'profit'
Former Villa chief executive Keith Wyness recently told Football Insider that his former club could potentially trigger their clause to sign Alejandro Garnacho permanently, and then sell him for "profit" next summer.
The second city outfit have an appearance-based purchase obligation for the Chelsea loanee, who has played just 31 minutes of Premier League fooball so far.
However, Wyness believes that if Villa trigger the clause, then they will simply try to offload Garnacho to a foreign club next summer.
The Scottish businessman feels that the Argentine's name still carries enough weight to generate interest from elsewhere, even if that means selling him outside the Premier League.
