Unai Emery will be expected to make several changes ahead of Aston Villa's Champions League clash against Fenerbahce.

The Villans looked set to rise up the Premier League table with a win over Brentford on Saturday, 10 October, only to be pegged back late on.

After goals from Yehor Yarmoliuk and Nicolas Jackson, John McGinn thought he had sealed all three points in the 77th minute.

No more than two minutes later, though, and the Bees were back on level terms at Villa Park, forcing Villa to remain 16th in the league standings.

Focus now turns to the Champions League, however, with a home clash against Fenerbahce on Wednesday, 14 October.

Emery will be hoping to build on the 3-2 win over Club Brugge, but he may have to make some changes if Villa are to claim the victory.

Matty Cash

If Matty Cash struggled to contain Brentford's attack, there is every chance that he will be a weak point against one of the biggest teams in Turkey.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka would be far better suited against Fenerbahce's exciting forward line, and Cash simply has to make way for him.

Tyrone Mings

Praying that Ian Maatsen returns in time to fill in at left-back, Tyrone Mings should lose his place in the team, with Pau Torres being welcomed back.

Torres and Victor Lindelof would be a far more convincing centre-back partnership, especially after Mings was so ineffective against the Bees.

Joao Gomes

And in midfield, Joao Gomes has not lived up to the potential he showed at Wolves, letting Boubacar Kamara down in the middle of the park.

Either Ross Barkley or Lamare Bogarde could be called upon, and their consistency would be far better than what Gomes can bring.
