Therefore, when the Daily Mail reported that Arsenal believe £35m would be enough to secure his signature this summer, Villa fans were baffled.

As a result, many fans took to X on Friday to mock the Gunners’ valuation as they struggle to sign any of their Villa Park targets.

How good has Konsa been in the 2026 World Cup?

So far this World Cup, Konsa has been solid for England.

The defender has helped keep two clean sheets, with the Three Lions now through to the round of 16.

According to Fotmob on 3 July, his stats are also highly impressive from the summer tournament.

Per 90 minutes, he has averaged a 0.16 xG, 0.50 shots, a 97.3 passing accuracy, 3.75 duels won, 2.00 fouls won and 0.00 times dispossessed.

Therefore, if he keeps up these types of performances, the £35m claim by Arsenal only looks stranger.
