Modou Keba Cisse celebrated the Austrian double with LASK on Sunday, ahead of his move to Aston Villa this summer.

The centre-back signed for the Villans from the Linz-based club last summer in a deal worth around £4million, and has spent the season on loan.

LASK won Austria's domestic cup, the OFB-Cup, at the start of the month after they beat SCR Altach 4-2 in extra time.

And Sunday's victory over Austria Vienna saw them confirmed as champions of the Austrian Bundesliga, achieving the double for the first time since the 1964-65 season.

Villa transfer chiefs are still to decide what Cisse's immediate future holds, but the defender will certainly have been raising eyebrows at Villa Park.

Football Insider exclusively revealed in February that Villa plan to sell Tyrone Mings this summer amid the defender's recurring injury issues.

The 33-year-old has made just 20 appearances across all competitions this season, although he does have one year remaining on his contract.

Mings' experience could be perfect for the likes of Cisse, who evidently has all of the talent to make it in the Premier League.

The Senegalese defender caught Villa's eye last season when he broke into the senior LASK team as a 19-year-old centre-back and featured in a key part of the season.

Manager Dietmar Kuhbuer has selected Cisse for 30 of his team's 38 games this season and has been rewarded with a historical double.

The 20-year-old was unavailable for Sunday's title-winning game through suspension, but made sure to get in on the celebrations, having played a key part in the momentous achievement.

The starlet will return to Villa as a double-winner, having ended 61 years of pain for a historic club.

Is Cisse ready to feature at Villa?

Despite being at such a tender age for a central defender, Cisse is already demonstrating huge potential.

The 20-year-old is composed and intelligent, but aggressive when needed, often goading his opponent into a mistake before pouncing on the ball.

Once on the ball, the Senegalese defender has a superb diagonal pass and is more than happy to dribble out from the back to great effect.

Villa will be watching Cisse with plenty of hope for the future, but it will be acknowledged that the Premier League is a significant step up.

A further loan may well be the option exercised, with a move to the Championship perhaps being the best preparation.
