Sources: Aston Villa willing to accept Triston Rowe offer with buy-back option
Aston Villa are open to offers for highly-rated defender Triston Rowe in the final weeks of the summer transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.
The 19-year-old right-back has attracted interest from a number of Championship and European sides in recent weeks.
Sources say Villa could want a buy-back option included in any deal for the youngster this summer.
Rowe has featured in numerous pre-season matches under Unai Emery in recent weeks and came off the bench in their 2-1 defeat to Bayern Munich on Friday.
The right-back spent the 2025-26 campaign on loan at FC Annecy in Ligue 2, where he made 32 appearances for the club and scored one goal in all competitions.
This helped the French side finish seventh in the division as they narrowly missed out on the playoffs.
How good is Triston Rowe?
In the last campaign, Rowe had a solid season at Annecy.
His defensive stats were particularly impressive as he helped the club keep eight clean sheets in the 30 games he played in Ligue 2.
According to Fotmob on 11 August, Rowe averaged 2.03 tackles, 0.99 interceptions, 4.81 recoveries, 2.07 clearances and 0.32 clean sheets per 90 minutes.
On top of this, he was solid going forward, averaging 0.08 assists, a 0.10 xA, 0.72 chances created, 0.28 big chances created and 0.68 success crosses with a 21 per cent overall cross success rate.
Therefore, the current interest in Rowe is not surprising given that the right-back is only likely to improve further as time goes on.

Football Insider has exclusively revealed that Aston Villa are the frontrunners to sign Joao Palhinha this summer transfer window.
The Bayern Munich midfielder is a target for a number of Premier League sides this summer, including Newcastle United.
Aston Villa are currently working on a deal to sign Palhinha on loan, and it is reportedly very difficult for the Magpies to hijack it.
Palhinha is also understood to prefer the idea of a move to Villa Park, given the club's ability to offer Champions League football this season.
Last season, the midfielder spent the campaign on loan to Tottenham Hotspur as the club narrowly avoided relegation to the Championship.
