Tammy Abraham will be furious with Aston Villa after Serhou Guirassy transfer update
Tammy Abraham will be furious as Aston Villa look to bring in Borussia Dortmund star Serhou Guirassy to bolster their attacking options next season.
Unai Emery’s side are reportedly seriously considering the striker ahead of the summer transfer window.
The 30-year-old has been a key player for the past two seasons at the German giants, and netted 22 goals in all competitions throughout the 2025-26 campaign.
However, Tammy Abraham will be furious with this news as his minutes could be limited further ahead of the new season.
The attacker was brought back to the club in the winter window, but struggled for starts in the Premier League, making just two.
Now, this could be impacted even further as Villa look to win the race for Guirassy this summer.
Aston Villa aim to win battle for Serhou Guirassy
BILD on 7 June claimed that Fenerbahce were also battling Villa to win the race for Guirassy.
A move to Saudi Arabia has also been touted, but the striker wants to remain playing at the top level of European football.
For Abraham, this will be infuriating news. The attacker would have hoped to succeed Ollie Watkins as Villa’s main striker, but this is now set to be in jeopardy.
On top of this, Watkins could end up staying at Villa Park this season, which could see Abraham relegated to becoming the third-choice striker ahead of the new campaign.
With Abraham reaching the peak of his career, this could be the worst-case scenario for the 28-year-old.
Will Ollie Watkins leave Aston Villa this summer?
Former Aston Villa scout Mick Brown exclusively told Football Insider that Watkins is increasingly likely to stay at Villa this summer transfer window.
Emery is a big fan of the attacker and hopes to keep him despite targeting new striker signings such as Guirassy.
His recent performances have also proved to Unai Emery that he still has a significant role to play at the top level, and he remains a big part of the boss' plans.
However, it remains to be seen how this could affect Abraham’s future and if the former Chelsea star will push to leave the club if his game time is reduced further.
