Aubameyang is blocking Arsenal from completing Vlahovic signing - pundit
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang must leave Arsenal before the club can launch a bid for Dusan Vlahovic.
That’s according to former Leeds United stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Gunners’ transfer plans.
An Arsenal source told Football Insider on Sunday that the club are in the strongest position to sign Vlahovic, 21, and a deal this month remains possible.
This comes after Aubameyang was stripped of the Gunners captaincy for a disciplinary breach in December.
Kenny insists Arsenal will struggle to sell Aubameyang and claimed Vlahovic will not arrive unless Aubameyang is leaves.
“Arsenal have to find someone who is willing to pay his wages,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“I doubt there are many clubs who will want to pay even half of what he’s earning.
“He’s at the wrong end of his career and everyone knows about his disciplinary record.
“Clubs won’t want to pay a big fee for him. He’s not out of contract until the summer of 2023 so it’s not like he can go on loan and leave for free at the end of the season.
“Will clubs want to take him on loan? I’m not sure. But if Arsenal are going to make this big Vlahovic signing then Aubameyang is going to have to go in one form or another.
“I don’t think Vlahovic comes in unless Aubameyang leaves.”
Vlahovic has scored 19 goals in 23 total outings for Fiorentina this season.
On 5 October, Fiorentina released a statement confirming the striker would not sign a new contract with the club.
