Barcelona plot shock move for Liverpool ace (not Coutinho) - report
By Matt Farr
European giants Barcelona are considering a shock move for Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana – according to a report.
The England international is having arguably his best season to date, having starred for Liverpool during the first-half of the campaign.
From 21 appearances in all competitions, the 28-year-old has contributed seven goals and seven assists, and his blistering form has caught the eye of Barcelona.
The Times claims that Luis Enrique’s side have joined Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain in expressing their interest in Lallana’s services, and could start a bidding war in the summer if he doesn’t sign a contract extension.
The news will come as a shock to Liverpool fans, with Barcelona reportedly seeking to acquire yet another of their star talents, having already coveted Philippe Coutinho.

Lallana has two years left on his contract at Anfield, and given his performances this season, Reds boss Jurgen Klopp will have no intention of letting him leave.
Last month, the midfielder admitted to the Sun that he was flattered by reporteded interest from PSG, who were said to be lining up a sensational £40million bid, but added he was not looking to quit Liverpool.
Football Insider verdict
Barcelona may well be looking for fresh attacking talent in the summer, but they’ll struggle to acquire it from Liverpool – and that goes for both Coutinho and Lallana. Klopp already has not intention of selling either of his two attacking stars, and if they can go on and win the Premier League title this season, it could well seal the deal for the players to stay. Champions League football could even be enough and Liverpool are looking good for a top-four finish. That said, Barcelona are one of the biggest clubs in the world, and they are not likely to shy away so easily. £40million or more for Lallana could go a long way for Klopp and Liverpool, and it remains to be seen if Lallana will be able to maintain his current form beyond the current season. It’s a lot of money for a player that arguably has only just managed to reach his top level, but he deserves all the interest and the plaudits coming his way.
