BBC Sport pundit Alex Rae has urged Rangers director of football Mark Allen to sign Hibernian duo John McGinn and Dylan McGeouch in the summer transfer after their stunning performances against Celtic on Sunday.
McGinn, 23, has been long-linked with a move to Glasgow while McGeouch, 25, was once on the books at Rangers as a kid in between two spells at Celtic Park.
Former Light Blues star Rae has now called upon Allen to move for the Hibs duo in the summer, saying that they could be the difference in beating the Hoops after silencing their fans on Saturday.
“Mark Allen doesn’t need to look far to identify talent. McGinn and McGeouch would make a difference to their midfield. And if anyone is in doubt how to play Celtic, the high press has worked a treat today,” he said on his personal Twitter account on Saturday.

Hibs manager Neil Lennon has previously confirmed that midfield ace McGinn is valued at being worth £5million.
“He has a price. I think in this day and age £5m would cover it. I value him very highly as we all do here, and we won’t sell ourselves short if the bids come in for him,” he said as quoted by the Scotsman in March.
The seven-times Scotland international has ran Celtic ragged on more than one occasion this term, scoring twice against them at Parkhead in a 2-2 draw in September.
Football Insider verdict
Rangers spent a lot of money last summer and their biggest signing was Carlos Pena from Chivas at around £2.2million. There’s little chance that Dave King would sanction a £5million spend on a player given what Pedro Caixinha’s max spend was last term so it is really hard to see McGinn ditching Hibs for Ibrox, especially when the two sides are only a few points away from one another at the moment. McGinn is also widely linked with a move to Celtic and there’s every chance that Brendan Rodgers will tempt Lennon into selling the midfielder to him in the summer.
