Bellerin has played his last game for Arsenal after confirmed news - Campbell

Kevin Campbell is adamant Hector Bellerin has played his last game for Arsenal following his loan move to Real Betis.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Gunners and Everton striker claimed Real Betis is a club that will suit the 26-year-old, who is in need of “a fresh challenge”.

Arsenal confirmed on deadline day that Bellerin had joined Real Betis on a season-long loan deal.

Bellerin has fallen down the pecking order at the Emirates since Mikel Arteta’s appointment and did not feature in any of Arsenal’s first four fixtures of the season.

Furthermore, the Gunners strengthened their right-back options with the signing of Japan international Takehiro Tomiyasu on Tuesday.

Campbell believes a permanent exit beckons for Bellerin, who will have one year left on his Arsenal contract at the end of his loan spell at Betis.

“Bellerin has been a good servant for Arsenal,” he told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs.

“He came through the ranks and looked the business at times but he never fulfilled his potential really.

“Let’s be honest, he needed a fresh challenge. He was going a bit stale at Arsenal. He was never quite the same after the injury, I have to say.

“I think that is him gone now. He is back in Spain at a good club in Betis and I full expect him to leave permanently after that. Betis are a good side that like to attack so that will suit him.”
