'Bellingham copying the best in the world' - West Ham fans wowed by star player
West Ham United fans have reacted to Lucas Paqueta’s “brilliant” Jude Bellingham celebration after his winning goal against Olympiacos.
The Hammers kept their spot at the top of Group A in the Europa League after a 1-0 win at the London Stadium on Thursday night (9 November).
The Brazilian was the difference-maker in the 73rd minute after the goal was finally given after a lengthy VAR check for offside despite Paqueta being clearly on.
While Paqueta has reeled away with his arms stretched in celebration before, he seemed to pay a direct homage to the Real Madrid superstar for his winner.
His celebration saw plenty of traction online and from Bellingham himself who took to Instagram in response, saying: “Only today my friend”.
West Ham fans also had plenty to say about the celebration for Paqueta’s winner and took to social media to praise their “generational baller”.
This fan joked that Bellingham has in fact been copying Paqueta, who is the best in the world in his position.
This fan complained about the “ridiculous” length of the VAR check but was happy to wait after seeing the “brilliant” celebration.
This fan was so impressed by the celebration that he thinks it must be framed.
Paqueta’s celebration left one fan dreaming of a potential Paqueta-Bellingham link-up in Stratford.
This supporter hailed the pair as “generational ballers”.
One Hammer was frustrated that everyone kept crediting Bellingham for creating the celebration.
This fan respected the duo’s excellence in response to Bellingham’s Instagram story.
One attentive fan spotted an interaction between Paqueta and Said Benrahma which hinted at what was about to come.
