Benitez will be 'gone by Christmas' if Everton collapse continues - pundit
Paddy Kenny claims Everton could find themselves in a relegation battle before Christmas as they face a tough run of fixtures.
The former Leeds stopper, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, predicts another slump in form will spend the end of Rafael Benitez’s time in charge at Goodison Park.
A 3-0 loss to Manchester City last weekend means Everton are winless in six Premier League games.
They sit 11th in the table and face Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool in their next five games.
Chelsea are top of the table while Arsenal and Liverpool both sit in the top five.
Kenny can’t see Everton picking up more than one win in their next five and claims this is something Toffees fans “won’t accept”.

“Rafa started alright but they have really dropped off,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“There are three games in their next five that they could easily lose. Where would that leave them?
“If they don’t pick up some wins along the way, they could find themselves near the bottom three.
“They aren’t a million miles away now, when I’m speaking to you they are only six points off.
“Say they only win one of their next five, which is very possible, they will be right down there.
“The fans won’t accept that. If this carries on he could be gone by Christmas.”
Benitez replaced Carlo Ancelotti after he quit Everton to take over at Real Madrid in the summer of 2021.
He has so far overseen four Premier League wins from 12 games.
